Solar Panel Installation Photovoltaic (PV) Energy System for Homes

Since 2004, KW Solar Solutions, Inc has helped hundreds of customers power their homes through solar energy. We offer photovoltaic (PV) energy systems for homes and other residential properties in Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Site Assessments

At KW Solar Solutions, Inc, we will provide a site assessment and provide you with a solar design, shade analysis and financial proposal… with no obligation to you. All we need is your address and one of your latest utility bills to determine how much electricity you consume per year. Committed to quality service, we provide you with an estimate of your solar electricity needs and work with you on a solar design with top quality equipment that meets your goal of eliminating as much of your current utility bill as possible.

Installation

Our solar designs often include Q Cell 365 watt and Silfab 370 watt solar panels paired with SolarEdge inverters or Enphase micro inverters. Once you decide to proceed with the project KW Solar handles all the paperwork getting your system approved by your utility company for installation and permission to operate. We also submit applications for available green energy grants and get you registered to sell Solar Renewable Energy Credits (SRECs) with SRECtrade and SRECdelaware. You’ll also have the information you need to file for your 30% federal tax credit.

Savings

Utility Bill Savings: Many customers save $1,000 to $2,000 and more on their annual electricity bill. Your home will be using solar electric during the day and storing excess production on the utility grid that will be used at night. This process is called Net Metering. Your utility meter will be upgraded to a bi-directional one that measures how much energy you import from the utility company and how much you export from solar on sunny days when you over produce.

Tax Credits: The federal government offers the solar Investment Tax Credit (ITC). The tax credit was increased to 30% for 2022 installations, and is a dollar-for-dollar reduction in the income taxes that a person or company would otherwise pay the federal government. It’s a great way to reduce your tax liability.

Green energy grants: Both Delaware and Maryland offer grants to go solar. Grant amounts vary. Please contact us for details.

Solar Renewable Energy Certificates: Each time your solar system produces 1000 kWh of energy you’ll have an SREC. It’s a way to quantify the renewable energy benefits of solar to the community. SREC’s are mandated to be purchased by utility companies and other energy producers. SRECtrade and SRECdelaware are two ways to sell these tradeable commodities and help you ‘monetize’ your solar investment.

All of these incentives pay for about 50% of the cost of going solar and make the typical payback period about 6 to 7 years. After that it’s like having free electricity produced by the awesome sunshine harvested on from your roof!
